SPECIAL INTEREST SECTIONS
Park Resources includes park, forest, and other natural resource professionals who advance the planning, maintaining, interpreting,
and administering of natural, historic, and cultural resources.
Community Recreation is comprised of professionals who work in the local delivery of recreation and leisure services representing
diversified recreation interests in governmental and private agencies.
Aquatic is for those persons engaged in providing aquatic programs at swimming pools, marinas, beaches, etc.
Therapeutic Recreation includes professionals who provide TR services to assist those individuals with disabilities achieve maximum
independence and rehabilitation.
Tourism is for those who are currently involved in the management, operation, or programming of theme parks, tour/travel businesses,
campgrounds, fitness clubs, hotels/motels, resorts, etc.
Student-Recreation is organized for students enrolled in recreation-based programs.
Student-Resources is organized for students enrolled in resources-based programs.
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Professional
Open to individuals employed in or retired from full-time positions in a park, recreation, conservation, tourism, private,
institutional, or educational agency.
Associate
Open to part-time park, recreation, conservation, or tourism personnel, individual board members, interested citizens, and volunteer personnel.
Student
Open to students interested in the park, recreation, conservation, or tourism field as a professional career.
Commercial
Open to manufacturers, suppliers, services, and consultants to the park, recreation, conservation, and tourism field.
Agency
Open to all organizations or groups, such as, but not limited to, park and recreation commissions/boards and other professional groups related
to the park, recreation, conservation, and tourism movement.
Non-Profit
Open to to all non-profit organizations or groups, such as, but not limited to, park and recreation commissions/boards and other professional
groups related to the park, recreation, conservation, and tourism movement. Must show proof of non-profit status.

Open to concerned citizens who want to support parks and recreation programs and professionals.
