LIBERTY MUTUAL RESPONSIBLE SPORTS PROGRAM
The Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports program was developed to support
volunteer youth sport coaches and parents who help our children succeed both
on and off the field. Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports offers financial
support (20 available $2,500 grants) to National Park and Recreation
associations, youth sport parenting and coaching resources, interactive
parent/coach peer dialog, the Responsible Coaching Awards to honor and
celebrate local coaches, and more.
Responsible Sports is available to Idaho Park and Recreation association
administrators, coaches and parents. We now need to spread the word about
the program to administrators and your organizations in Idaho to get them in
the running for a $2,500 grant!

2009 TENNIS IN THE PARKS
Tennis In the Parks (TIP) is a partnership between NRPA and the United States Tennis Association
that provides resources and support to communities who are committed to growing and improving tennis programs,
infrastructure and advocacy efforts in their local communities. The 2009 TIP online registration
process has begun for renewal and new agencies. For additional information and online applications visit

NEW 2009 USTA RECREATION TENNIS GRANT!
The new 2009 USTA Recreational Tennis Grant is now available. This is the first time the USTA has a National Grant
opportunity for programming/partnerships for park and recreation agencies.
Priority will be given to park and recreation agencies that are registered as Tennis in the Parks agencies.

Medicaid's Preventive Health Assistance Program
A new Medicaid program was passed by the Idaho Legislature in the 2006 session which can help recreation districts statewide. The program is called Preventative Health Assistance Program or PHA and the focus is to establish healthy lifestyles statewide for families in the program.
The State of Idaho is enlisting you and your recreation district to participate as vendors for the program. Additional program specifics are below:
